Naval Guard Attends Funeral Services of John E. Burns, Killed in Bennington Explosion.

Escorted by a naval guard, John E. Burns, the Chicago boy, who was killed in the explosion of the United States gunboat, Bennington, in the harbor of San Diego, Cal., was buried yesterday at Mount Olivet. Reserves from the training ship, Dorothea, and commanded by Quartermaster Quinlan and Seaman Ryule of the regular navy, attended the funeral. The guard gathered at the Burns dwelling, 4944 State street, marched to St. Ann’s church, where services were held, and then to the cemetery. *
