Josiah Ezell was a Ship Cook 4th Class. He was one of 66 crew members killed in one of the Navy’s worst peacetime disasters, when the U.S.S. Bennington boiler exploded on July 21, 1905.
Josiah was 27 years old when he died and was from Waco, TX. Caroline Tye from Lott, TX survived him.
He is buried at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California. Plot BM, 13
